CD ROM — Numbers 1-118 (1954-2003) are available on a CD in Adobe Acrobat format. The issues are full-word searchable and can be navigated through links and bookmarks. This will be an invaluable tool for anyone interested in the archaeology of the Northeast. One can now quickly find references to sites, artifact types, individuals, or places that appear in back issues of The Bulletin. CRM report writers, scholars and students will no longer have to spend valuable time paging through back issues or miss important references in early, hard-to-find issues. The CD sells for $50. Volume 30, Number 1 (September 2007) contains 4 articles: two on the Diable site and one each on the Dungey and Cameron sites. At 128 pages, it contains numerous illustrations and tables and makes available data gathered by some researchers now deceased including Richard Hosbach, Alex Neil, and Daniel Weiskotten. » Cultural Resource Standards Handbook
In 2000, the New York Archaeological Council (NYAC) published Cultural Resource Standards Handbook: Guidance for Understanding and Applying the New York State Standards for Cultural Resource Investigation. This handbook is an introduction to Cultural Resource Management (CRM) and the associated New York state standards. It is available online in HTML and PDF. » The Iroquoian CD
Published by the Lewis Henry Morgan Chapter, 1999, this CD-ROM contains Volumes 1-23, 1981-1997, of The Iroquoian, plus Special Edition #1, published for the 1994 bicentennial celebration of the signing of the Canandaigua Treaty. Continuing in Morgan's footsteps, the journal features articles relating to Morgan, including reprints of rare documents, and Iroquois archaeology and ethnology. Available for $30.00 plus $3.00 P&H. » The Prehistory of Western New York
Co-published by the F.M. Houghton Chapter and the University at Buffalo Archaeological Survey, and revised in 2002, this booklet is 53 pages including 7 black and white illustrations. Also included is the NYS Prehistoric Archaeological Site form and some information on how to record and protect sites. It is available for $5 including shipping.
